Body Wraps

Sephora, Clinique, Biore....the line of skincare products is long and confusing as well. First, I did Neutrogena, then Mary Kay and I am doing Clinique. I am no different from a whole lot of women who are confused about what skincare line to stick with. Whatever promises better results we grab. Then I learned to mix things up with home made recipes. I have a friend whose skin looks beautiful and she swears by home made skin care recipes. I am learning from her, but the commercial skincare industry is very enticing. Ok that said, one of the recipes my friend tries is doing a body wrap using clay and grounded fresh ginger. The feel is wonderful and her skin afterwards provokes envy. Incase you don't know what a body wrap is, you can find out here: http://spas.about.com/od/bodytreatments/a/bodywrap.htm

Body Moisturizers

morguefile.com

I live in the tropical part of the world where the sun is damn hot therefore I do not joke with moisturizers. I have discovered that raw aloevera gel combined with olive oil, almond oil, avocado oil, glycerin and vitamin E makes a very good moisturizer. Applying this mixture just after a bath helps lock in moisture. This keeps your skin soft, hydrated and supple for a long time during the hot day.

Set the process of aging gracefully now

morguefile.com

I read sometime ago that secondhand smoke caused more health problems than doing the actual smoking, but then I love the smell of cigarette smoke especially when it mixes with a certain masculine perfume. Here again Cosmopolitan warns against inhaling cigarette smoke. I do want to age gracefully with little or no health problems, I guess I'll have to listen to the Cosmo's advice. Face mask 1

I love to pamper my skin. No, I am not vain, but it gives me pleasure to do so. Some times I worry about the chemicals in the commercial products that I use and I decide to go natural. Going natural doesn't stop my skin from glowing, if anything it makes me feel better. Try this:
As a weekly facial, in a blender, mix 1/2 cup oatmeal (not instant), 1/4 cup almonds, the contents of a vitamin A capsule and 2-3 tbspns water. Blend till it forms a paste. Apply on face and let dry. Rinse off with luke warm water and moisturize . This mask leaves skin smooth.
